Just Friends?

In “Just Friends” Seok-i is a boy going to see his boyfriend Min-soo, who is currently serving his military term. They both go around Seoul expressing their love.

영화 “친구사이?” 중 석이는 들뜬 마음으 로 군대에 있는 남자친구 민수의 면회를 갑니다. 민수 는 석이를 보자마자 반갑고 좋아서 어쩔 줄 몰라하 는데요.

However, soon Min-soo’s mother insists that they come visit her…and she has no ideas about her son’s sexuality. Soon, the couple will have to learn to hide their love and keep their feelings at bay.

더 늠름하고 씩씩해진 민수에게 눈을 떼지 못하는 석이…근데, 하필 같은 날 민수의 엄마도 면회를 오신게 아니겠어요. 얘는 누구냐는 엄마의 물음에 석이는 그냥 “친구사이”라고 밖에 대답하 지 못합니다. 그리고 둘은 졸지에 엄마를 사이에 두고 하룻밤을 보내게 됩니다.

The film “Just Friends” is director Kim Jho Kwang soo’s second queer movie after Boy Meets Boy which is a tender short movie without words.

영화 “친구사이?”는 김조광 수 감독의 대사는 없었지만 말랑말랑했던 단편 영화 “소년 소년을 만나다”이은 두번 째 퀴어 영화입 니다.
